In September 2014, James McLennan set his school a challenge.
If they could raise $1000 by September 19th, he would shave off his beard.
The school community of Christian College Geelong, Middle School exceeded this goal and raised $1200 – so the beard is no more.
The students who raised the most money had the privilege of clipping the beard, before it was shaved.
