In the wake of the devastating earthquake in Nepal this week, we were wonderfully relieved to hear from Keshab that he & his family are safe.
We will keep you posted with news as we hear more about our friends and colleagues.
We will also let you know, when we find out, if there is any way in which you can help.
Sunday 26th April –
First news from Keshab – a quick email to let us know that he & his family are safe, but staying out of the house, except for essentials.
Monday 27th April
I have just finished skyping Keshab. They have briefly entered there home to cook and then they will spend tonight in the car – whole family. Tsundu reports that all is OK at Kopan Monastery, also all is OK at Shechen Clinic and Hospice. All is good also at International Guest house. So far, we know of no one harmed…we pray this will be the case for so many, we also pray for those who have been injured and lost essential property. Tomorrow Keshab says the roads are safe enough to collect Saraswoti and his sister in law, who are safe with their families. I will be going there in May…so first hand news then of how we can best help.
Thank you for caring….lew
